Private Equity coaching

Perhaps benefitting from being outside of the private equity arena I have developed a successful private practice working with Private Equity professionals who use my services in monthly one to one confidential meetings.

Coaching for Private Equity professionals working in the context of the entrepreneurial focus of their firm, their internal and external relationships with CEO’s, CFO’s, etc, and their own investment committees often will benefit from unconflicted coaching and development.   Confidential sessions are an ideal way of addressing “weaknesses” or “challenges” which culturally are better addressed using an experienced outside resource.   Due to the confidential nature of these relationships particular individuals cannot be named however I have a track record of working with Directors and Partners in well known Private Equity houses.   If however you wish to speak with one of them this can be arranged, just call me and ask to speak to someone who has experienced Private equity coaching.

Highly ambitious performers who either understand or are open to the “power” of working with someone whose sole remit is to support reflection change and progress and to bring appropriate conversational challenge.  Generally ambitious individuals who believe using an outside professional is an important “edge” in the repertoire.  A sense of humour helps.  Those who want the “edge” that private equity coaching can bring.

How I work as a Private equity coach

A monthly face to face session where the focus is on discussing whatever is relevant to my client with a view to helping move forward on the issue or goal.

Length of time : Generally 2 hours for most clients,  for some 2 ½  hours plus whatever works for my client.  My fees are based on sessions not hourly rates.

Location: whatever works best for you. Some clients have sessions at the office, some at home.

Focus of private equity coaching  sessions

No set format but typically leadership issues, feedback (from appraisals/colleagues), “soft” skills/relationship development with a view to preparing for the next  role or promotion.

Any area which will affect performance and results.  A range of “individual topics” from improving my performance and focus in a particular area, what next in my career, to being a more powerful leader, to building better relationships, dealing with “difficult investment committees”, repairing communication between myself and FD, becoming a better collaborator, developing as an influencer/leader/entrepreneur, dealing with stress, more confidence, letting go of situations, learning new skills/ approaches, better influencing, better quality meetings coping better with political internal situations,  making a big (career) decision, to creating more options and choices with current business situation.
