Organisational Change
Our team is committed to applying Solution focused thinking to Organisational Development projects and programmes.
Working very closely with Rob is David Bamber, an experienced organisational development consultant specialising in the complex human elements necessary to build commitment and action for change. With nearly 25 years of experience of facilitation at all organisational levels, he has a profound understanding of the process, whether his involvement is large-scale and sustained, or a one-off intervention. He is adept at working with any sized groups and teams
David is currently using an SF approach to re galvanise a team and give the managers some new options to motivate staff. Driven by an understandable desire to reduce variation the managers and leaders are focused on reducing errors through targets, analysis and problem solving. The vast amount of really good work is not noticed. It is no wonder that staff confidence and commitment is affected: “I keep a private record of all my jobs so I can defend myself” explains one operator. In asking the managers where the answer lies: in studying how errors are created (the problem) or how people already make a perfect product (the desired solution) we begin a change in thinking and action.
Some recent projects include:
Ø Multi-national (pharmaceuticals) – facilitated a large-scale organisational change programme, creating a new supply chain to reduce cycle-time, saving over £7 million.
Ø Multi-national (biosciences) – worked with a new site manager to unstick current practices and transform culture and performance: increased output by 35% and improved employee engagement to exceed all the other European sites.
Ø Human rights charity – worked with the directors to create and develop the organisational model and practices, and facilitated regular staff development days.
Ø Medium sized enterprise – facilitated the board of directors of a private limited company to lead change and growth through the organisation.
Ø Higher education – facilitated a World Café event to identify vital strategic actions: enabled pertinent collaboration between the diverse research teams within a University.
